Chantal was incredibly accommodating with numerous email requests and guest count revisions (especially since I was planning my wedding from a different province!). Venue: The restaurant captured the vintage, rustic yet shabby chic feel we were looking for. Joe and I actually had our first (blind) date in the Distillery 8 years ago and lived minutes away. We witnessed how the space transformed from a vacant building to something exquisitely beautiful and were impressed by the craftmanship when we first walked in. The private dining room was beautifully adorned where minimal decor was required. The flawless decor along with the music selection and lighting set the mood and created the perfect ambiance for our very private and intimate wedding.

My guests were impressed with everything. The venue, the FOOD (seriously – they are all coming back for brunch and dinner) and the effervescence of the staff. As a bride, you are always concerned and stress over the smallest details – but Cluny did not disappoint. You were thorough and exceeded our and our guests’ expectations in every way possible.

I have dealt with many restaurants and venues planning other events in the past and I can honestly say our overall experience with Cluny has been a surprisingly pleasant one. Everyone was very accommodating, supportive of our decisions, light-hearted (but organized) and we are ecstatic that the event was seamless from beginning to end. For many reasons, the location of the restaurant held sentimental value to both Joe and I, but Cluny’s ambiance, food, service and passion towards hosting a perfect event made our special day more meaningful.

Even though it was a “secret wedding” that was literally planned in less than 3 weeks, I couldn’t have asked for anything more and the day was beyond perfect. Thank you for helping us create our first memory as husband and wife.

The staff who worked with us during the tasting were extremely courteous. We enjoyed meeting the chef and would like to pass along our thanks for the delicious meal that was served at our wedding. Many of the guests have commented on the quality of the food, one guest saying that it was the best wedding food he had ever tasted.

In addition to the food, we were very impressed with the staff who worked during our wedding. The waiter for the head table was exceptional. He was attentive and kind. Our MC worked quite closely with Rebecca during the evening for the timing of the meal in relation to speeches and things like that and he was very impressed with her leadership and professionalism.

The venue itself is quite beautiful. The table settings are classy and we appreciated the menus that were provided to our guests.

We were also quite pleased that there were no hidden costs and that it was very easy to determine the final cost of our wedding based on the information provided to us from the very beginning.
